The Genesis of ValuesInARTES

ValueARTS is another program started under the umbrela of Project Brazil, from where Mosaic Group started to be the ARM of Social Transformation through Arts as a bridge for Social Transformation.

The core-value and methodology of ValueArts is the same that guides CAT - Creating Arts Together, and as well as Artes MAZI (MAZI is the Greek word for Together)

ValueARTS was first experimented in 2015 at The British School Campus in Barra da Tijuca. The head-master of the time; Mr. John Nixon, embraced the idea by providing all the infrastructure of location, food, and instruments, to a group of 50 young people from various areas of risk in Rio de Janeiro do dive into creativity with a PRE-DEFINED theme that was chosen by the Head Master, Mr. Nixon, and the chosen them is part of the VALUE of the School;

COMPASSION.

It worked beautifully, even if the young people did not pick their themes, it was given to them when they arrived, the power of creativity took hold of them, and with the process being facilitated by A&ST’s staff, Music, Dance and Theater were created and presented at the end of the day with the theme for all: COMPASSION.
